ECOSOC Special Meeting

The Economic and Social Council convened a special meeting on “Social and economic measures to prevent genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity” on 24 January 2023 in the ECOSOC Chamber at the UN Headquarters.  The meeting focused on addressing socio-economic causes to prevent genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity. The meeting also highlighted measures to prevent conflict and atrocity crimes.
