ECOSOC Management Segment

The Vice-President of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), H.E. Munir Akram (Pakistan) will convene the July meeting of the ECOSOC Management Segment on 21 July 2020. In its resolution 72/305, the General Assembly renamed the Coordination and Management Meeting of ECOSOC as the Management Segment, to be held twice per cycle, and focus on the adoption of procedural decisions, consideration of recommendations of subsidiary bodies, as well as the introduction of reports and consideration of draft proposals submitted under relevant agenda items.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the related restrictions on holding in-person meetings at the United Nations headquarters, the July meeting of the ECOSOC Management Segment will proceed as a virtual informal meeting.
