Joint meeting of the Economic and Social Council with Chairs of Subsidiary Bodies
The Joint meeting of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and the Chairs of the subsidiary bodies is an annual mandated meeting to guide and coordinate the work of the subsidiary machinery of the Council – which includes discussing how the subsidiary bodies can best contribute to the annual main theme of the Council and the High-level political forum on sustainable development (HLPF), and ensuring that their work is coherent, avoids overlap and adequately covers the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Agenda – in support of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and other internationally agreed goals in the economic, social, health, cultural, educational and related matters.
