The seventieth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) will take place at United Nations Headquarters in New York on 9-20 March 2026.
The Commission on the Status of Women is a functional commission of ECOSOC and the principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality, the rights and the empowerment of women. The CSW is instrumental in promoting women’s and girls' rights, documenting the reality of their lives throughout the world, and shaping global standards on gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.
